Venture Capitalist Marc Andreessen Answers Questions for $20
Venture Capitalist Marc Andreessen Answers Questions for $20 Famed tech entrepreneur Marc Andreessen will now answer any question you lob at him. But itâll cost ya. The Netscape cofounder returned to Twitter after a five month hiatus Thursday with an offer to ask him anything (anything!) for $20. The proceeds will benefit Black Girls Code, a nonprofit organization devoted to encouraging young women of color to enter STEM fields. Andreessen, deemed the âFather of the Tweetstormâ for the epic, steam of consciousness-style opinions he let loose on the platform, once tweeted more than 10,000 times in a three-month span, USA Today reports. One particularly controversial Tweet was directed at someone who compared Facebookâs âFree Basicsâ program, rejected in India because of net neutrality violations, with colonialism. In response, Andreessen tweeted: âanti-colonialism has been economically catastrophic for the Indian people for decades. Why stop now?â (He later apologized.) In September, Andreessen announced that he was temporarily leaving Twitter. âTaking a Twitter Break!â he wrote, deleting all his previous Tweets. The question free-for-all is hosted on 21.co, which lets users charge people to email them. Andreessenâs venture capital firm is a lead investor of 21.co. His public page says he is âhappy to field tech-, business-, and finance-related questions.â So get your pitches ready.
